The month of December and Christmas always signalled joy in my early years. It meant long school holidays, family re-union, new clothes, presents, and best of all party time! It always was a pleasant experience to rise up early on Christmas day and watch how the ram was slaughtered, roasted in a born-fire and cooked.
Most people underestimate the importance of a photographer when planning of special events such as weddings, anniversaries, christening etc. events that may only comes ones in a life time. It is not surprising that more money is invested in decorations, catering and entertainment rather than on what I consider to be most important thing.
Wedding planning requires careful thought, realistic plans, adequate time, concentration, family support, friends etc, and of course money. In my opinion the first thing that needs to be done is a budget. We had 7 months to prepare for our weddings, from engagement to saying ‘I do’. I said weddings because we had two.
