Hi, love reading this info so much that I bookmarked it. I, too, am in a mixed marriage. We have a wonderful life together, after 3 failed marriages to men of my same race, I finally married my soul mate. I now know so much more than I did before about relationships. Period! I think the main lesson is to wait on God, he will send the right person for you, to you & then always have an open mind as well as open heart.
Also, if marriage is hard, it is not the right one!!

Agreed. This is a must read. I especially felt connected to the immigration part. I have an aunt that is Hispanic. We are almost full blood Irish. She and my uncle married in the late 50's.

We all learned so much from her, and from their love and devotion. She came here honorably, legally, and proclaims the U.S. as her home. This very aspect of her being, helped us get past the mixed marriage. The 50's were a very difficult time for mixed marriages. I can't imagine what it would have been like, had she used my uncle for citizenship. She was already a citizen when they met.

It angers me for those that come through and want to love and honor this nation to have to see "love" used in such a despicable way.
