The Importance of Encouragement

I asked the question, “what is life” and I got a number of different opinions. Some one said that it was the study of attention, another said that it was a marathon not a destination and the most amazing answer was from a six year old who said that life was like an maze, you keep trying to get to the end of it by making wrong turns and trying to correct them.
The truth is no matter what you take life to be, you will at one need or another need support in an area and you can certainly do with encouragement no matter whom you are or what you do. No man is an island and no men can afford to be without a friend or companion in this life. No one is a master of life that is why we all need those who are wiser and older, those who have walked the road we want to follow in life to teach, encourage and support us down the road we walk.
I was born in an average family in African and I know the importance of support and encouragement. I needed support and encouragement to make it in life, to give me the confidence to face everyday life. Encouragement and support will boost confidence; it will put a spring in your step and make you feel like you can do it. Once there is someone behind you believes in you and believes in your potential then life becomes a little more bearable. Everyday has its own challenges and when you come to the place where it seems like life is not worth living or that you cannot make it, you need encouragement.
Imagine getting into a new job and you are left on your own with new systems you have never used. Imagine being required to produce results on your first day at work when you have not even been introduced to anyone except your boss. I know this is hard to imagine, this is what life will be like without support and encouragement. How I wish I knew everything that I wanted to know about life, everyday I learn something either new or I get more understanding on this I thought I knew.
In a company either big or small we need supervisors, managers and team leaders who can guide, support and encourage their members to get better results and make the company profitable. Same as in marriages, social life, school and university life, we all need support to go through whatever we will be working on. Its like being in the army, you are encouraged when you are in a war zone and hear that you have air support and reinforcement troops coming in to assist you. Knowing that you have that entire backup with give you a different approach to the entire battle, all of a sudden you begin to feel confident and fear is dispersed.
An I can an attitude is priceless but one who can tell you that you can when things are difficult is more than priceless. Having people who keep you going, who push you when you feel weak, which pick you up when you are down is what life is all about. I give credit to my mentors and friend without them I would have been a nobody but they supported and encouraged me all the way through my difficult and good times.
Support & encouragement are like salt & sugar; you need both at different intervals depending on what you are eating.
