The Beauty of Sex

God created man and said everything was good. His command to man was to replenish the earth and have dominion over all creation. Marriage was instituted by God when he created Eve out of Adam and brought her to him in the Garden of Eden.

Procreation and replenishment of the earth implies sex and intimacy. The one act that unites the man and woman in the highest experience of pleasure. This act symbolizes the covenant we have with God which requires the shedding of blood when the hymen is broken. God made a covenant with man sealed in blood by Christ dying and shedding his blood. No wonder, the devil has and is desecrating the beauty of sex and intimacy.

Sex was designed by God to be experienced within the confines of a covenant symbolized in marriage. The bible compares the relationship between Christ and the church and the relationship between a man and his wife. The church is the bride of Christ and we look forward to the marriage supper of the saints when the church is presented to Christ. He expects a church without wrinkle or blemish.Ephesians 5:27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. - King James Version

What the world has made of it

Today the sacredness of sex, marriage and fidelity has been trivialized. Young people have sex at will without any remorse. People live together without getting married enjoying the benefits of shacking together without a covenant agreement.

The institution of marriage has been trivialized by celebrities marrying and remarrying at will. The rich and famous haven’t been left out as high profile divorce proceedings seem to give the wrong impression about marriage and make it a diamond filed. You simply get married and file a divorce and get a huge settlement at the end of the day. Icons of the Christian faith haven’t been left out either.

One night stands is now common place in bars and club. When you feel the urgent urge to merge, you stop buy the nearest night club and hook up .after downing a couple of drinks you wake up in the morning by the side of someone your who’s name you don’t know.

It seems not to matter whether it is a she, he or a shemale that’s involved, just get it on. Reprobate minds have extended this rudeness to the animal world by engaging in bestiality. Romans 1:27-2827And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.  28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;   - King James VersionThe media has also contributed to the desecration. Most TV programs have an element of sex in it even cartoons and children programs. How bad can it get?

What can you do about it?

In the midst of this foolishness, the sacredness and sanctity of sex in marriage can be maintained and exemplified on our homes for our children to emulate. We can make a positive impact by

  1. Educating our kids in school, social gatherings and churches. How many kids learn about sex and relationships at home or in church? If not taught at home they’ll definitely find out somehow and probably get the wrong information.
  2. Being interested our kids’ affairs, friends and peers. Who they hang around with is important.
  3. Be mindful of the programs kids are allowed to watch as well as restrict Internet access.
  4. Be role models in our lifestyle and attitudes, just barking out instructions won’t work.
  5. Pray for God’s guidance and wisdom in bringing the kids up and that they stay on the right path.

Let us live a moral and sanctified life and create a healthy environment for our children to make the world a better place.1 Timothy 3:4-54One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;  5(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)   - King James Version
